ZODIAC
Located in Le Locle (Switzerland), Ariste Calame (the son of a watchmaker) in 1882 founded a workshop to produce specialized watches with his name "Ariste Calame" and it was until 1908 when Calame patents the name Zodiac as a brand; they manufacture their own calibers and movements used in the production of pocket watches. "Calame's dynasty managed to become one of the fastest-growing companies in Switzerland."
Since the founding and with more than a century ago, Zodiac have dedicated themselves to precision and pushing to the limits of design innovation to manufacture not only technical and dynamic timepieces but also quality of Swiss Watches.
From Zodiac Watches website – “With a rich heritage to draw from, Zodiac is singularly focused on designing watches based on our most beloved vintage models and staying true to the original creation. Each watch design maintains the same sense of scale to keep the finished product as historically accurate as possible, then we add contemporary updates and improved functionality. If you held an original and a current model side-by-side, you should be able to see, and feel, the extension from one to the other.”

Super Sea Wolf
PRO-DIVER
Automatic Wristwatch
“Most popular watch in ¾ of the world – ¾ of the world is underwater.”
Originally, Zodiac introduced the Sea Wolf in 1953, “the world’s first purpose-built ‘dive watch’ manufactured and marketed to the masses.” The successor was the Super Sea Wolf, introduced in the early 1970s. The Sea Wolf and Super Sea Wolf are both widely considered two of the most iconic commercial dive watches in the history of watchmaking and they have made the Zodiac brand what it is today.
In 2015 Zodiac decided to re-release the Super Sea Wolf, still sticking to the heritage of the watch that gave this brand a foothold in its market. Here we have a modern Zodiac Super Sea Wolf PRO-DIVER chronometer automatic diver wristwatch reference ZO3555 and dated from 2021.
It is a self-winding watch powered by a Swiss-made Tissot movement caliber 2301 – Sellita SW200-1 (based on SW200 / ETA 2824) chronometer-grade movement COSC Certified. It also features a hack mechanism, 26 jewels, sweep second and 38 hours of power reserve.
To emulate the vintage Bakelite bezels of the Sea Wolfs of the 1950s, Zodiac sets a domed sapphire bezel insert over what is here a fully illuminated timing scale, the effect in the dark is overwhelmingly fun. This Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver is also inspired by the vivid hues of the ocean deep, it channels the beauty of the deep sea and bioluminescent life through bold orange tones on the bezel and colorful accents on the white semi gloss dial.
It is cased in a 42mm stainless-steel round case complemented by a seven-link stainless-steel bracelet with butterfly depoyant closure. Screw-down Zodiac crown. Certified and tested at a depth of 300m / 1,000ft. Pro-Diver means that Zodiac has finally leveled up. This watch boasts 300M of water resistance (up from 200) and an ISO 6425:2018 certification.
This Zodiac Super Sea Wolf PRO-DIVER is a very attractive automatic dive wristwatch that will be great to wear or to enjoy in a collection. It is in great condition and runs very well!
It also comes with the full kit: double box, certifications brochure, COSC book certification, instruction and warranty book, tag and extra links.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
Please review the photos and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
It will be carefully packed.
